What is the difference between a nanny and a babysitter? A nanny has a set schedule, although sometimes it may vary slightly, whereas a babysitter is more for spontaneous times. The typical nanny schedule is during the weekdays, and the typical babysitter works evenings and weekends. There are always exceptions though. The best thing to do is discuss your exact needs with us, and we will help you figure out what program is best for you.
What is your agency fees?
Our fee is the first month salary net + GST for employers who is hires a full-time caregiver and is payable upon employment. However, if the employer requires a trial period, we can allow one week before any payment is due. A flat fee of $350.00 is charged for employers who wish to hire a casual or part-time caregiver from one to three months period. A rate of $15.00/hr is charged for someone who wish to hire a caregiver for few hours (minimum 4 hours).
What type of notice do I need to give to get a babysitter? While we ask for a 48 hour notice, we can still usually get you someone in much less time. Often a family will call Friday morning to request a sitter for later that evening. We have no problem doing things last minute. If the time you are requesting is a major holiday, such as New Year’s Eve, then please try and give at least a weeks notice.
Can I have the same person each time with the babysitting program? Yes, we like to send you a babysitter you are already comfortable with. If you have a certain sitter you want, just be sure and call a couple of days in advance to request that person.
How do I handle the nanny's taxes?

What types of things does a nanny do?
Each nanny has a different job description. While some nannies are only responsible for taking care of the children, other nannies are in charge of running errands, driving the kids to Karate, School, cleaning the house, and having dinner prepared when the parents get home. It’s important for each family to sit down before interviewing nannies to discuss exactly what they are wanting, so we can make the nanny aware of what types of duties the job will require of them.
What if the nanny I select doesn't work out?
If the nanny you selected doesn't work out, we will replace that nanny with the one of your choice. We offer a very generous probation period during which if a nanny does not work out we provide the family with new nannies to interview without an additional placement fee. While most agencies will only replace a nanny for the first 30 days, our probation period covers two months.
Can I call the nanny's references myself? Absolutely. While we have already spoken with their references, we know that often families want to speak with them personally. Each nanny’s personal references are available upon request.
